Location : Pine Valley Raceway, Chetwynd, British Columbia, Canada.

Chetwynd is a beautiful place to visit.
It's small town nestled into the mountains, with wood carvings every direction you look.
The motocross track is about 10 minutes outside of town, built into the hills,
and it makes the most stunning backdrop for the riders.

This was the first race that I had people request for me to take their photos.
I had a list, butterflies and a husband scouting for their numbers.

I can't speak as a racer,
but as a motocross photographer in Northern Alberta & British Columbia, it is one of my top 2 favourite tracks to photograph.

You can walk up to the top of a big hill and stand behind their sign that says 'Pine Valley',
watching the riders come off a big step up and go right into a 180 turn followed by a step down.

There was a small hill I could climb beside their water tower. I was able to enjoy some shade and get shots from above which was a nice change up because I find alot of shots I get are level/lower angles of the riders.

To wrap it up : The drive to Chetwynd is stunning, the town itself is charming, and the track is film worthy.
If you're looking to support your local motocross association, I would start here.
