Location : Peace River Motocross Track, County of Northern Lights, Alberta, Canada.
The first shot I got was one of my favourite riders to watch and photograph.

My favourite shot to get is what I like to call the 'Big Sky' shot. I first attempted it at the Peace River during a heatwave. I had the picture in my mind that I needed to take before we left for the day, and with 3 kids, I didn't have all day.

I scouted different jumps and angles, checking my lens to see if it was the right spot to get the shot. When I finally did get the photo, it was one of my favourite riders to watch, which was the cherry on top.

That was the moment I realized I could create art with motocross photography, it was a matter of scouting and patience. Big Sky shots became part of my photography style, and now every race I attend I must capture the Big Sky shot.

Here are some of my favourite ones from the 2024 PMA Season. I love being able to see how I grew as a motocross photographer, from one race to the next, in Northern Alberta & BC.

Just the great big sky and the rider, flying solo.
